Establish a pick-order process
The new concept for the Conrad flagship store in Berlin depended on an easy- to-use solution to pick and order products from the store warehouse.
We established an interconnected process where users can browse and select available products via the Terminal-Touch-Interface. The staff in the warehouse is notified via screens and acoustic signals. The ordering process is displayed on dedicated screens next to the check-out – in real time.
Give customers orientation
The new innovative Conrad store concept involved an overall remodelling, changed product categories and physical replacement of many products. The Terminal App running on landscape and portrait screens provided orientation in the new store layout via an interactive floorplan. Customers can now choose from different points of interest (e.g. theme worlds, hot spots or brands), check product availability and easily navigate to their desired products.
Also we provided the means to order Conrad-Services (e.g. Customer Card) via Terminal and enabled full access to live product information like tech-specs and user-reviews to customers and store personnel. This helped to improve the interaction of customer and sales staff significantly.
The Terminal Application was developed for use on touch devices and optimized for various screen resolutions. Technically it is a web application that can run on any device that supports a browser. Because the application runs fast and is used extensively by the staff as a supporting screen in sales conversations, Conrad decided to extend the use cases.
Currently it is adapted to tablets, rolled out to other store locations and is also in action on faires to present new products and services.
